High in the mountains of Kashmir, a young cashmere goat grows its first, impossibly delicate undercoat.
When spring arrives, this precious undercoat is gently combed for the very first time in the goat’s life. As the goat’s first natural fleece, these fibres are exceptionally fine, light and rare, with a delicacy that distinguishes them from the fleeces that follow.

Here, goats naturally develop a fine undercoat to protect them from the region’s harsh winters. As spring arrives, the winter coat is gently combed, allowing the precious fibres to be collected.
